Conclusion
Although hostgator seems to provide a huge amount of data transfer and web space which seems like they are overselling, but even with this feature I never found any down time as i too have a baby hosting package at hostgator.
Overall customer support
Hostgator have one of the best customer support in hosting history. But from last couple of months their support seems to be a little bit slow in response for me. But overall it is better than anything else.
